I keep certain pieces very close to me. If Jewelry could talk, we would call them "A Tell Tale" and not necklace nor bracelet and so on. Can you remember the earrings you wore on your wedding day-30 years or so...ago? I can and still have them. Although through the years they have gathered a journey maybe larger then "I" myself.
....And when we look into the mirror-and see how our jewelry matches clothing? Or does it really match who we are? 30 years ago, I collected charms that my son would purchase for me on certain holidays and occasions. From each charm, I then would add one that eventually built my story of us. Each charm represented a moment in time I may have forgotten otherwise. Back then, it was just a thing...Today is is a "real thing" A great part of our journey together.

Tears, Fears And Broken Circles..
I personally know more about a person just by looking at their jewelry box. When someone purchases a piece, I always ask, "What is it that brought you to this decision?" Sometimes I hear an entire story, sometimes not. Although it's the stories I intrigue over. A memory, a reality. A tear, a fear or maybe someone just wanting to begin a new tradition. Breaking the old and bringing in the new.
